On the advice of many visitors to this blog, I am going to stop trying to name flowers until I get a flower guide!

I took this picture on the way to work this morning in Monument.

I do occasionally photograph something besides flowers and sunsets. This is Santuario de Chimayo in New Mexico.

We have printed this picture on fabric for sale, and Heather has created a quilt kit using this photo. Both are available on our web site (www.wildheatherdesigns.com) and at the shop in Monument, if I may be allowed a little plug.

Chama Flower with Fly

Took this picture near Chama NM yesterday on our way back from Santa Fe where Heather was teaching. I didn't notice the fly until I got the picture on the computer.

Don't know what these are-I've got to get a wild flower guide.

Santa Fe River

Anyone who knows Santa Fe is aware that the river is rarely an actual river. It's usually just a trickle-and that's on a good day.
Here is a picture taken last year when it was actually a river.

Here is another picture we are working on getting framed for sale at the shop. It's called "Bee in the Bonnet."

Pikes Peak Panorama

Here is a panorama I stitched together from 3 photos I took looking west from the top of Pikes Peak a couple of weeks ago. We're going to try to have some of these pictures framed and for sale at the store (Wild Heather-341 Front Street Monument CO) by the Art Crawl this Thursday.

More Penstemons

I'm slowly working through the pictures I took on Monday-here's another spray of Penstemons.

Photographed these penstemons on a road trip yesterday in the mountains.

I started working on panoramas this week-this is a combination of three pictures I took of a sunset over the front range in between Monument and Colorado Springs last Tuesday evening. That's Pikes Peak to the left. I stitched them together with Photoshop.

Raindrops on Rose

Wow-two posts in two days! This one is for all the quilt ladies who wonder what I do while Heather is teaching. Aside from hanging out in the local library looking for music for the store and car and pretending to work I sometimes take pictures. This one was in Golden not far from Golden Quilts.

Back in Business

Okay, I decided to start up this blog again. Partly as a way of rejuvenating my creative juices. I'm going to link it to the web site (wildheatherdesigns.com) so maybe I'll get a little traffic.

I took this picture of a cactus flower last weekend. If anyone knows what the species is-feel free to comment.
